Hospitals

Healthcare facilities are of a high-quality standard in Cyprus. The Cypriots use the latest technology and operating techniques and heart bypass operations and kidney transplantation is now common in all hospitals. The A&E departments are manned by English-speaking staff. Emergency medical treatment in the Accident and Emergency department is free to international tourists. However we advise all international travellers to take out full medical insurance as no health agreement exists with the UK.

Doctors, Clinics and Health Centres

Paphos benefits from a high standard of healthcare. All Hospitals and medical centres have the latest facilities. For non-emergency cases there are many excellent English speaking doctors’ surgeries and healthcare centres.

Dentists

Dentists are available everywhere in Paphos and their fees are relatively low compared to European prices. Low cost private medical insurance is available for non-Cypriot people living in Cyprus. Dentists are of an excellent international  standard and all dental surgeries are well equipped with the latest equipment.

Pharmacies

As in Europe most pharmaceutical products can be purchased over the counter. There are numerous pharmacies on the island and many are open late – there is also a selection of 24 hour pharmacies. Non prescription medicines are readily available and usually cheaper than in the UK.
