Cyprus Driving
Driving on the left
As in the UK, cars drive on the left in Cyprus. Traffic rules dictate that front seatbelt use is compulsory and children under five are not allowed to sit in the front seats.
Driving and Alcohol
Drink driving laws are the same as in the UK and North America. You are only allowed 39mg of alcohol in the blood when driving.Speed Limits in the South
There is a 100 kmh (60 mph) speed limit on dual carriageways, 80 kmh on rural roads and 50 kmh in towns. There are also a number of fixed and mobile speed traps so you should try to stay within the speed limit.
Parking
In most towns you'll find it easy to park as there are usually many cheap car parks. The parking meters on the streets accept twenty cent coins per hour. As in the UK yellow lines signify the same, single; no parking during business hours and double; no parking or stopping at all.
Signs
In Cyprus all road signs are in English as well as being in Cypriot.
